My family and I went here for Christmas brunch. The buffet had every type of food that you could think of! Everything was amazing and we each got a complimentary mimosa.

Come here if you're looking for a handcrafted cocktail in an upscale environment. My fiancé and I visited this past weekend for a pre-dinner drink. I tried the Strawberry Mule and it was delicious. My fiancé ordered one of their specialty drinks and he liked his as well. The architecture of the building and decor are so beautiful. They also have a happy hour Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:00- discounted appetizers and drinks.

If you are looking for Cincinnati's fanciest dining experience, Orchids is the place, being Ohio's only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Four Star rated restaurant. Reservations may be acquired online or over the phone. I would suggest taking advantage of the hotel valet for parking, which can be validated at the restaurant. Orchids is situated within Cincinnati's most beautiful interior space, the Palm Court at Hilton's Netherland Plaza hotel - a fantastic example of American Art Deco from the 1930's. Arrive early for your reservation and enjoy the sites and sounds of the Bar at Palm Court, which often features live music and dancing; or just grab yourself a cocktail from one of the affable bartenders. Dining here is an event, and you absolutely should come dressed for the occasion. Business professional attire is recommended. Orchids specializes in multi-course meals, typically two, three, or four courses: typically a la carte or prix fixe if the Taste of Orchids is available at the time of your reservation. I would suggest doing the full four courses to get the most out of your experience. This typically includes an amuse-bouche, opening course. second course, entree, and dessert. Expect to pay $100-200 per person. Wine pairings are also available and priced by the number of courses you choose. This is an experience that every Cincinnatian should try at least once!

Simply the best meal I've ever had took place here. My parents got my wife and I this as a Christmas present in 2018, and we had the chance to use the gift card last February. We STILL talk warmly about the experience and the food. The Chef's tasting menu was amazing and had so many flavors and experiences occurring in my mouth. I'd do them a major disservice even trying to describe them. The sommelier that arranged a wine tasting menu that accompanied our meal was out of this world. I'm more of a snobby craft beer drinker who will occasionally drink hearty, red wines. That night, there was roughly an even placement of whites & reds on the docket. One of the whites was described in the notes of tasting like a "vanilla milkshake" and damnit if it wasn't entirely true! Not only did the wine tasting work tremendously with our meal, my wife LOVED the art deco of the dining room and had so many questions about it. The sommelier asked if we'd like a tour after our meal. Are you kidding? OF COURSE! What kind of service is that? Absolutely blown away by this restaurant and experience. We both hope to be back

Our final night in Cincinnati, The Doctor and I decided to have dinner on our own. Since we were staying in the Hilton, we made a reservation to have dinner at Orchids at Palm Court. The Orchids is the only AAA 5-Diamond restaurant in Ohio, so I figured we would have a good time there. Color me surprised that the entire experience was akin to sheer perfection, from ambiance, our being seated at our table, the menu, plating of the food and service. I have to say I felt like a cheating wife as I don't even know if the Hilton has a restaurant like this. No idea if there is a comparable restaurant like Orchids at the Chicago Hilton. If there isn't, I will be so sad. The staff was amazing. Everyone was attentive and very professional, gracious, and knowledgeable. We were greeted by Joel and taken to our table. He was very pleasant and discussed the options for wine with us. He was wearing several pins on the lapel of his jacket and gave us a breakdown of each one. Our Maître D', Samantha Johnston, was wonderful too. I was quite surprised and pleased to see that a restaurant at this level had a female Maître D'. The entire waitstaff was spot on, from Denise and Tate bringing out our food, to Joel and Samantha making sure we had what we needed. The presentation during the serving of our entrée was like synchronize swimming...the lifting of the silver cloches to reveal our meals was done at the same time, and as I watched other tables being served, it happened over and over. So cool. For our menu, there was a choice between a la carte and a price fixe ("Orchids Tasting") menu priced at $130 pp, $190 with wine pairings. The a la carte menu ranges in price from $16 to $22 for first and second courses and entrees around $48. Not sure if Joel was a sommelier or not, but he was very good with the wine. For our first course we started with the Smoked Salmon (served with "Tater Tots", horseradish, egg yolk, shallot, lemon, and capers), Potato Salad (shallot confit, egg, pear mustard, and prosciutto) and local caviar (can you believe it!) served with little delicate little potato pancakes. All three were amazing, with a very delicate balance of flavors. The salmon was lovely, but the caviar was amazing, topped with a quail egg...soooo good. The second course consisted of the Glazed Veal Cheeks (served with a truffle croquette, soubise, Melrose apples) and Popcorn Grits (black Trumpet Mushroom, cider gastrique, baby leeks). Both were off the chain! The cheeks were so tender you didn't need a knife to cut into them. The truffle croquette was like a prize, filled with an amazing sauce. The Popcorn grits blew my mind...they are not grits but are popcorn that has been run through something (I forgot) with cream until you literally get a dish that has the consistency of grits but more of the popcorn flavor. The cider was a nice touch, not overpowering but enough there to get the essence of the flavor. There was also a touch of truffle oil and honey in the dish. Once that was done, we got an amuse-bouche of a creamy asparagus mousse; very light and delicate, but so good. For my entrée I go the lamb (two ribs) and this lamb sausage called a Merguez served over polenta, nettles, cippolini and lamb demi-glace. The Merguez was lovely, with the meat being more pulled than ground and with a lovely flavor. The Doctor got a fish dish, honestly no idea what he got as I was focused on my food. I did have a taste and it was very good and that is saying a lot as I am not big on fish. For dessert I got this got this dish made with the lavender and honey that is made in-house. Orchids has their own bee hives and lavender on the roof, which is used in this dessert as well as one of the local beers. I honestly don't remember what it was called, but it was delish. The best part was it came topped with a lavender cotton candy. At the end of the meal a small tray was brought out with little tidbit of sweet treats (macaroons, jellies, and chocolate). My favorite was the jellied one. It was so good, in fact, I asked if I could get two more and lo and behold I got a little box of more goodies to take back to the room. If you had told me that a small time Chicago girl would go to Cincinnati and have an amazing five-star meal, I would have said no way! Well I was wrong. This is by far one of the best dining experiences I have had and trust me, I have had plenty. Prices are not bad considering the level of service and presentation. And let me say I was so happy to see that their star team is all girl power: Pastry Chef Claire Mongenas, Maître D' Samantha Johnston, and Executive Sous Chef Mallory Myers.

Amazing! It's difficult to describe our experience. I will do my best. Orchids is not common. You won't find this type of service often. Every detail is perfect. Food preparations are nothing short of stupendous. The details they hit on, time and again, make this a must dine when downtown. We had Popcorn grits; popcorn reduced to grits texture with an abundance of butter. Wow! We also tried the morel mushroom with sweetbreads starter. Explosive flavors. I chose the halibut with lobster beurre blanc. Heavenly! My daughter had the NY Strip. Melt in your mouth and a lovely mid-rare as ordered. My wine selections were chosen by the sommelier. Couldn't have been more perfect. I can't imagine dining anywhere else I'm Cincy if you want a truly amazing meal. My photos will not do the food the justice it deserves. Bravo!

Fine dining at its best. Excellent service, great food and of course, all this coming at a price - so yes, expensive! I ordered their White Asparagus appetizer ($20) which was just okay. The asparagus was extremely sour and I did not really enjoy it so much. For my main course, I got the Haddock ($42) which was extremely delicious. It's a great venue for a date night.

Chose Orchids at Palm Court in the Netherlands Hilton Hotel for a client dinner. Perfect for client or intimate conversation. Serves dinner-only Menu is 3, 4 and 5 course prix fixe dinner. Can also order items à la carte. Professional, attentive service. Food was deliciously prepared. Small, tasty portions. I chose the scallops, and would order again. Oxtail ravioli appetizer was spectacular, and a few of them would be a meal. In addition to the three courses, we were offered a complimentary crepe before Course #1, and Falafel between Courses #1 and #2. Pluses: * You can order two appetizers and one entrée for the three-course dinner. That's what we did instead of including a dessert * Tables are spaced apart for quiet conversation * Menu is online with prices; but disappointed wine list is unavailable * Complimentary valet parking. Good wine selection, with I note higher markup consistent with high-end restaurants. Next visit I would choose instead a table and not sit in a booth, which I found too large.
